Mini Volleyball League to reach climax in Podgorica with big volleyball party

Podgorica, Montenegro, May 28, 2018. The final tournament of the Jugopetrol EKO Mini Volleyball League will be taking place on Sunday, June 3 at Independence Square in Podgorica. The very same venue played host to the last edition of the Balkan Kids Festival in 2017.

After as many as 12 weekends of play, the finals of this competition will be open to all three categories: girls born in 2005/2006, girls born in 2007/2008 and boys born in 2005/2006. The matches will start at 10:30 am, and the final games for all categories will follow at 17:30. At the end of such a long day, all participants will be receiving gold medals, while the winning teams will receive a cup specifically designed for this purpose.

The Jugopetrol EKO Mini Volleyball League is a project run by the Volleyball Association of Montenegro (OSCG) for children aged 9-12, which is taking place for the third season in a row, with the sponsorship of Jugopetrol AD and the support of the Ministry of Sport of Montenegro. This season, as many as 44 teams registered for participation, thus accounting for 500 children from all across the Balkan country.

The organisers invite all clubs, children, parents, volleyball lovers, as well as all citizens of Podgorica and other cities of Montenegro to join the major volleyball party due to take place on June 3 at Independence Square.
