Belgrade, Serbia, May 5, 2019. Vojvodina NS Seme NOVI SAD are the winners of the 2018/2019 Banka Poštanska Štedionica Superleague and, as a result, this year’s Serbian champions after they defeated Crvena Zvezda BEOGRAD in the championship series with three wins to one. In the fourth match, played in Belgrade, the team from Novi Sad beat the hosts, Crvena Zvezda, 3-1 (25-21, 16-25, 25-18, 25-15), after 102 minutes of play, and won their third title in a row – and 16th overall.

Mr Zoran Gajić, President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, presented the Championship Trophy to Miran Kujundžić, team captain of Vojvodina NS Seme. Mr Ivan Knežević, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, awarded the trophy for the runners-up to Vlado Petković, team captain of Crvena Zvezda.

“I think that Crvena Zvezda had a psychological advantage before the start of the series, they even won the first match and it was very difficult for us to turn things around. However, we believed in ourselves, we knew that we possess quality and that we are a good team, which is capable of winning this title. We are so happy right now,” said Miran Kujundžić, team captain of Vojvodina NS Seme.
