After collecting the votes of clubs, members of the Board of Administration, and of Coaching Commission, the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) recently announced the winners of the awards for the best and most promising volleyball players and the best coaches in the domestic championship for the year 2024.
For the second year in a row, Djordje Jovović was selected as the best Montenegrin player abroad, earning 11 votes. Last season, Jovović played for Slovenia’s Triglav KRANJ, ending as the league’s top scorer and server. This season, he joined Croatia’s Mladost ZAGREB, excelling in the domestic league, MEVZA League, and CEV Cup. Jovović is a key member of Montenegro’s national team as their primary opposite hitter.
Luka Lojić of Budućnost Volley was recognised as the most promising male player with seven votes. Lojić excelled in youth and senior categories, winning the cadet championship and being named Most Valuable Player. He also secured third place in the junior championship and claimed a silver medal at the Balkan Championship in Tirana with Montenegro’s cadet
Melisa Cenović of OK HERCEG NOVI was named the best female player in the domestic league with 13 votes. She contributed significantly to the team’s domestic double and performed exceptionally with the national team in the CEV European Silver League and EuroVolley qualifiers.
Lana Rakočević of Budućnost Volley was named the most promising female player with 14 votes. She played a key role in Budućnost’s cadet championship win and secured second place in the junior competition. As part of the senior national team, Rakočević competed in the CEV European Silver League and EuroVolley 2026 qualifiers as well.
Časlav Djurović of Budva was recognised as the best women’s coach with eight votes. He led Budva women’s team to a historic appearance in the EPCG Superleague.
