BVA Balkan Beach Volleyball Championship U22 Officially Opened

Last night, at the “Iliria” square in Tetovo, this year’s edition of the BVA Balkan Beach Volleyball Championship U22 for men and women was officially opened. A total of 15 teams from six Balkan countries will offer talent, fair play, and sporting enjoyment to the Macedonian volleyball public, especially the residents of Tetovo, during these three days.

The opening ceremony was attended and addressed by the Mayor of Tetovo, Biljal Kasami, as the host of the championship, the President of the Macedonian Volleyball Federation, Petar Jovanovski, the Minister of Sports, Borko Ristovski and the First Deputy Prime Minister, Izet Medziti. The common message they sent was that “sport is a common language between nations”, which unites and deepens cooperation between the Balkan countries.

North Macedonia has traditionally organized the BVA Balkan Beach Volleyball Championships for younger categories of players, which are a real summer attraction for volleyball fans.
