FIVB Board Of Administration Approves Changes To Composition Of FIVB Commissions And Judicial Bodies

The FIVB Board of Administration today confirmed several changes to the composition of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission, FIVB Technical and Coaching Commission and FIVB Judicial Bodies.

Italy’s Samuele Papi appointed as Secretary of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission

In particular, Olympic champion and two-time Olympic volleyball silver medallist, Gilberto ‘Giba’ Amauri de Godoy Filho, stepped down from the position of Secretary of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission.

Brazil’s Sérgio Dutra dos Santos joined the FIVB Athletes’ Commission

The FIVB Board of Administration therefore approved the proposal to appoint four-time Olympic medallist from Italy Samuele Papi as Secretary and Sérgio Dutra dos Santos, a two-time Olympic champion and two-time Olympic volleyball silver medallist from Brazil, as a member of the Athletes’ Commission.

Giovanni Guidetti appointed as President of the FIVB Technical and Coaching Commission

The Board also approved the appointment of Giovanni Guidetti as President of the FIVB Technical and Coaching Commission. He replaces Hugh McCutcheon who stepped down from this position. Meanwhile, Philippe Blain was approved as Secretary of the Commission.

In addition, following the resignation of Dr Rosmarijn van Kleef as Vice-President of the Disciplinary Panel, the Board approved the following changes within this judicial body: Ms Maria Jose Garcia Suarez (COL, CSV) appointed as Vice-Chairperson, Mr Cambreleng (ESP, CEV) appointed as a member, and Mr Rouzbeh Vosough Ahmadi (IRI, AVC) appointed as a new substitute member.
