Olympiacos triumphed in the Greek Cup for the 11th time in their history

Last week Olympiacos PIRAEUS claimed their 11th Greek Cup title in spectacular fashion, overcoming Panionios 3-2 in a dramatic final at the packed Lefkovrysi Indoor Sports Hall in Kozani, northwestern Greece. In front of 2,500 passionate fans who created an electrifying atmosphere, Olympiacos showcased their resilience, battling back twice from behind to secure the coveted trophy.

The final was a true Volleyball showpiece, with both teams delivering a high-level performance that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Olympiacos demonstrated incredible mental fortitude, overturning deficits and sealing the match with a thrilling fifth-set victory.

Serbian opposite Milica Kubura was the undisputed star of the night, earning MVP honours after scoring an impressive 29 points. This marks her second MVP award this season, following her standout performance in the Greek Super Cup.

This triumph is Olympiacos’ second title of the season after winning the Super Cup, and the club now sets its sights on the Greek Championship. With the ultimate goal of securing the historic ‘Triple Crown’, the team remains determined to make history by claiming all three domestic trophies in a single season.

Their men’s team achieved a historic feat this season as well – progressing to the quarterfinals of the elite CEV Champions League Volley for the first time in 23 years, where they lost to Poland’s standout JSW JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel.
