Serbia and Bulgaria stay unbeaten at U19 Balkan Championship after day two of competition

Romania and Serbia’s U19 women’s teams in Pool A, as well as North Macedonia and Bulgaria in Pool B, were successful in today’s matches at the U19 Balkan Championship in Tirana.

In Pool A, Serbia holds the top spot after securing their second victory by defeating Albania 3:1 (25:11, 17:25, 25:9, 25:15). In Serbia’s second win, the best performance came from Elena Martić with 17 points, followed by Anja Miovčić with 15, and Marija Babalj with 13.

Right behind them is Romania, who recorded their first win today over Bosnia and Herzegovina (25:21, 25:19, 25:20). Romania was led to victory by Gabriela Bianca Cucu with 16 points, while Maya Inana Ferencik added 10. For Bosnia, Mia Bezdrob was the top scorer with 12 points.

In Pool B, Bulgaria leads the standings with two wins. In today’s match, they defeated Turkiye 3:1 (25:21, 25:18, 10:25, 25:21). In the winning team, Denitsa Angelova stood out with 13 points, followed by Elisaveta Sarieva with 12, and Kalina Veneva with 11 points. On the Turkish side, Ceren Hasdemir was the most effective with 16 points.

In the other pool B match, North Macedonia celebrated a win over Kosovo (25:23, 25:17, 25:17). Ivana Mileva and Androtea Milevska both led their team to victory with 18 points each. For Kosovo, Blerina Beqaj was the top scorer.
