Turkiye and Bulgaria Advance to Final, Serbia and Romania to Fight for Bronze

Turkiye and Bulgaria will face off in the final of the U19 Balkan Championship taking place in Tirana. In the match for third place, Serbia will play against Romania. On the final day of competition, Albania and North Macedonia will battle for 5th place.

Turkiye was the first to secure a spot in the final after defeating Serbia in straight sets: 25:20, 25:20, 25:18. In the Turkish team, Aylin Uysclan was the top scorer with 16 points, while for Serbia, Anja Miovčić and Elena Martić each scored 11 points. Bulgaria was also dominant in their semifinal against Romania, winning in sets of 25:15, 26:24, 25:11. In Bulgaria’s victory, Darina Naneva stood out with 16 points, Kalina Veneva followed with 15, while Vyara Parapunova and Denitsa Angelova each added 10 points.

In today’s program, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Kosovo 3:0 (25:21, 25:21, 25:11) and finished in 7th place in the tournament. Marija Šarenac led the winning team with 15 points, while on the other side, three players scored 9 points each – Blerdina Voci, Adea Millaku, and Merisa Silvova.
