TVF President receives Visionary Contribution Award

Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ was recently honoured with the Visionary Contribution Award in recognition of his contribution to Turkish Volleyball and leadership at the Kristal Marmara Awards ceremony organised by Marmara University.

At the same ceremony, national team player Derya Cebecioğlu was announced as the recipient of the “Athlete of the Year” award.

Üstündağ, whose nomination for the award was supported by some 30 thousand people who participated in the voting process, said: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for being deemed worthy of this award. I am honoured to be a part of the great success achieved by our female players, who made history by achieving a milestone in 100 years of our country through their EuroVolley and VNL successes. I am receiving this award on behalf of all stakeholders behind such historic success. I offer my sincere respect, love, and gratitude.”
