U16W: Turkiye and Montenegro secure wins on the 2nd day

On the first match of today’s schedule, Turkiye secured an easy victory, defeating North Macedonia 3:0 (25:10, 25:17, 25:15). Leading Turkiye to their first win were Selis Turkyasar with 12 points and Mercan Lara Atasoy with 10 points. In the Macedonian team, Andrea Mitikaj and Ana Zulumovska each scored 5 points.

Montenegro recorded their second victory after a hard-fought match, defeating Greece 3:1 (25:19, 25:22, 25:27, 25:21). The top scorer on the court was Klara Đukić with 21 points, while Elena Jovanović added 13 points for the winning team. On the Greek side, Foteini Eirini Kantiani and Evelina Gzounteli each scored 13 points.

Bulgaria had a day off.

Tomorrow, Greece will face North Macedonia (15.30h), and Turkiye will play against Bulgaria (18h). Montenegro will be resting.
