Bulgaria, Romania, Turkiye, Greece and Serbia on U18 European Championship

The second round of  U18 qualifications has ended in both genders, involving Balkan countries, including the tournament organizers, and all participants of the European Championship are now known.

Serbia was the host of the pool B U18 Women tournament, and Kosovo was the host of pool E for U20 Men.

The teams that have qualified for the U18M European Championship are Bulgaria (host), Romania, Turkiye and Greece from the Balkan, as well as Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Austria, Ukraine, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Slovenia, Poland, France and Italy.

The U18M  European Championship (players born in 2007 and younger) will take place in Sofia and Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from the 10th to July 21st of July 2024.

Two teams from each of the five groups have qualified for the European Championship from the second round of qualifications. Sixteen teams will compete in the European Championship, divided into two groups of eight teams each. The matches will follow a round-robin point system, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

In the women’s competition, the teams that have qualified for the U18W European Championship from the Balkan are Romania (host), Greece, Turkiye, Serbia, Bulgaria, as well as, Finland, Croatia, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Slovenia and Lithuania.

U18W European Championship (girls born in 2007 and younger) will be held in Blaj, Romania, and Heraklion, Crete, Greece, from 1st to July 13th of July 2024.

At the U18W European Championship, 16 teams will compete, divided into two groups of 8 teams each. The matches will follow a round-robin point system, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
