In Tirana, the first day of the U20 Balkan Championship for women concluded with victories for the national teams of Serbia, Montenegro, and Turkiye.
In the first match of the day, Serbia dominated Bulgaria with a 3-0 win. Ana Mihajlovic scored the most points for Serbia – 19, while Aleksandra Peycheva was the top scorer for Bulgaria with 10 points
. Montenegro defeated North Macedonia with a score of 3-1 (25:10, 23:25, 25:17, 25:21). Darja Popovic led Montenegro to victory with 20 points, followed by Vanja Matunovic with 16 and Matea Kovacec with 13. On the other side, Karia Trifunovsa and Stefani Najdanovska were the top scorers with 10 points each.
The day concluded with a match between Albania and Turkiye, in which the guests secured a victory 3:0 (25:13, 25:14, 25:14). In the Turkish team the best was Lisa Safranova with 12 points, while for Albania 7 won Kejda Kodra.
On Sunday, Turkiye and Montenegro will play at 15h, Serbia and North Macedonia at 17.30h, and Albania and Bulgaria at 20h.
