Turkiye qualified for #EuroVolleyU16W

The Turkish women’s National team under 16 secured a place in the final round of #U16EuroVolleyW after finishing the first round of qualifications in Sofia undefeated. Serbia finished in second place in the tournament in Sofia, followed by Montenegro and Bulgaria, with Romania and Greece, who will play the second round of qualifications in April.

On the last day of the competition, victories celebrated Serbia against Romania, Montenegro against Greece, and Turkiye against Bulgaria. Serbia triumphed over Romania with set scores of 25:21, 29:27, 25:17. Andjelija Tadić was the most efficient player for Serbia, scoring 17 points, while Gabriela Bianca Cucu was the top scorer for Romania with 18 points.

Montenegro also secured their third win, defeating Greece 25:18, 25:14, 25:21. Klara Djukic from Montenegro was the best player with 15 points, while Theodora Lekaki scored 13 points for Greece.

The 1st Zonal Round of qualifiers concluded with the match between Bulgaria and Turkiye, where the Turkish team claimed a 3:1 victory (24:26, 25:16, 25:17, 25:21). Selis Ercin Turkayasar led Turkiye to their victory and placement for the European Championship with 21 points, while Gabriela Pekova was the best for Bulgaria with 11 points.
