Exciting third day of competition in Montenegro – Greece celebrated a 3:0 victory over North Macedonia, but the real drama unfolded in the second match between Turkiye and Bulgaria.
Greece won in straight sets: 25:10, 25:12, 25:18, securing their first triumph in the tournament. The top scorers for the winning team were Alexandra Lamprousi with 15 points and Evelina Gzountli with 14 points. Andrea Mitiki contributed 9 points for Greece.
Bulgaria recorded their second win in the tournament after a hard-fought 3:2 victory over Turkiye (25:14, 15:25, 25:22, 11:25, 15:9). The thrilling match took place at the Ada Sports Hall in Pljevlja and lasted over two hours. For the winning team, Antonia Stanislavova was the top scorer with 15 points, Yoana Nencheva had 11, and Andriana Goleva added 10. For Turkiye, Selis Ercin Turkyasar stood out with 19 points.
Montenegro had a day off.
On Sunday, Turkiye will face Greece at 15:30, while Montenegro will play against Bulgaria at 18:00.
