The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, recently confirmed that the Volleyball Federation of the Balkan country (OSCG) will enjoy strong support from the Government so that EuroVolley can be played there in two years’ time.

“In the year of the expected accession to the European Union, Montenegro is ready to show that it can be a good host of the Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2028,” Spajić wrote on the social network X.

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister had a meeting with the President of the OSCG, Nikola Kažić, and the Secretary General, Ivan Bošković. “I informed the representatives of the Volleyball Federation that the Government will strongly support our country’s bid to co-host the Men’s European Volleyball Championship together with Serbia, Croatia and Latvia,” Spajić added.

He said that record investments in sport are an incentive to host the best European Volleyball players. “The great energy, will and professionalism of our players, along with record investments in sport, are an incentive to host the best European Volleyball players and at the same time promote Montenegro, its beauty, and its potential,” Spajić concluded.
