The BVA Cup 2024, in men’s competition, took place from September 19 to 22 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Turkish team Arkas from Izmir triumphed at the Final Tournament of the BVA Cup 2024 in the men’s competition, securing a place in the 2025 Challenge Cup. In the final, held at the “Alexandros Nikolaidis” arena in Thessaloniki, Arkas defeated the Bulgarian team Beroe from Stara Zagora 3:0, with set scores of 25:22, 25:15, and 25:18, after 71 minutes of play.
In the match for third place, Romania’s Steaua Bucharest defeated Greece’s Pegazus Polihnis from Thessaloniki 3:1 (19:25, 25:19, 25:22, 25:20).
Arkas Izmir, the winner of the 2024 BVA Cup, will face Finland’s Akaa Volley in the 1st round of the 2025 Challenge Cup on October 9 and 16.
In pool A played the tournament organizer, Pegazus Polihnis from Thessaloniki, Beroe Stara Zagora from Bulgaria, and Peć from Kosovo. At the same time, in pool B was played Radnicki doo from, Serbia, Steaua Bucharest from Romania, and Arkas from Izmir.
