One of the biggest volleyball stars on the planet has joined the most successful club in the history of the CEV Champions League Volley. VakifBank Istanbul officially announced today, confirming what fans have been speculating for months now, that Serbia’s Tijana Boskovic will wear the VakifBank jersey starting next season.
After 10 years of wearing the jersey of Eczacibasi Istanbul, Tijana’s move to another team from Istanbul didn’t come as a big surprise for her fans. She is the first summer signing announced by VakifBank following a series of announcements on players leaving the club, including Chinese Star, Yuan Xinyue, Kendall Kipp, Caterina Bosetti, Ali Frantti and Kiera Van Ryk.
“Very glad to be a part of this big club and organization, excited to work with a great coach and players. This club has already won a lot of trophies, I hope with my game and contribution I can help the team to win more and this will be a big challenge for me. I hope we can enjoy many good moments next year, I will do my best on the court and I hope the fans’ support will always be present. See you next season!”

The Montenegrin U16 women team particularly stood out, being the only team across all five qualifying groups to advance to the championship without losing a single set.
As a reminder, Turkiye had already secured its place in both competitions earlier. Also, thanks to hosting the event, the teams of Kosovo and Albania are guaranteed participation in the upcoming championship.
The final tournaments will take place from July 2 to 13 for the women’s competition in Kosovo and Albania, while the men’s competition will be held in Yerevan (Armenia) from July 23 to August 3, 2025.
