At the EuroVolley 2026, the Balkans will have a strong presence, with six national teams in both the men’s and women’s competitions representing the region.
The teams that secured their place at the European Championship are: Greece, as the winner of its qualifying group; Turkiye and North Macedonia as the best second-placed teams; Bulgaria and Romania as tournament hosts; while Serbia qualified directly thanks to its result at the previous championship in 2023.
The European Men’s Championship will be held from September 9 to 27, 2026, with Bulgaria and Romania as hosts alongside Italy and Finland.
In the women’s competition, Montenegro and Greece qualified as winners of their pools, while Romania was among the five best second-placed teams. Turkiye will host the championship, while Serbia and Bulgaria secured direct qualification thanks to finishing among the top eight at the EuroVolley 2023.
The Women’s EuroVolley 2026 will take place from August 21 to September 6, with Turkiye, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, and Sweden as hosts.
