The 27th General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) was held today at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo, with representatives from 10 of the 11 BVA member countries in attendance.
The Assembly was officially opened by BVA President Milutin Popović, while the participants were also addressed by CEV President Roko Sikirić and Anita Glibić, President of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special guest on Assembly was Frane Žanić, president of Volleyball Federation Croatia.
BVA General Secretary Nilüfer Shimonsky presented the BVA activity report and the financial report, both of which were unanimously adopted by the Assembly.
During the Assembly, Georgios Karampetsos (Greece) was elected as the new President of the Balkan Volleyball Association, while Petar Jovanovski (North Macedonia) was elected Vice President.
The Assembly also confirmed the dates and organizers of the Balkan Championships for 2026, with the final list of participating teams to be completed by 1 April 2026.
The 28th General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association will be held in Greece.
