Six National Teams Set for the U16 Women’s Balkan Championship in Grevena

The next generation of Balkan volleyball stars is ready to take center stage as theĀ U16 Women’s Balkan Volleyball Championship will be held in Grevena, Greece, from 21 to 25 July 2026.

Organised by the Hellenic Volleyball FederationĀ under the auspices of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA), the championship will bring together six national teams competing in a single round-robin tournament to determine the new Balkan champions.
The participating teams are:

  • Bulgaria
  • Greece
  • Montenegro
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Türkiye

All matches will be played at the Grevena Municipal Indoor Sport Hall, with three matches scheduled each day at 15:00, 17:30 and 20:00.
The opening day on 21 July features three exciting encounters:

  • Serbia vs Montenegro (15:00)
  • Bulgaria vs Türkiye (17:30)
  • Greece vs Romania (20:00)

The competition will continue through 25 July with each team facing every other participant once. The complete match schedule is as follows:

21 July

  • Serbia – Montenegro (15:00)
  • Bulgaria – Türkiye (17:30)
  • Greece – Romania (20:00)

22 July

  • Montenegro – Türkiye (15:00)
  • Romania – Bulgaria (17:30)

23 July

  • Romania – Türkiye (15:00)

  • Greece – Montenegro (20:00)

24 July

  • Serbia – Türkiye (15:00)
  • Romania – Montenegro (17:30)
  • Greece – Bulgaria (20:00)

25 July

  • Romania – Serbia (15:00)
  • Montenegro – Bulgaria (17:30)
