The latest edition of the most popular sports project specifically designed for children in Montenegro, the Mini Volleyball league, successfully concluded this past weekend with the final tournament held in Podgorica at the local Verde sports hall.

Fourteen matches featuring young boys and girls aged nine to 13 provided great entertainment during the final weekend, which concluded with medal ceremonies involving all participants.

Since the season opened in October 2024, previous records have been broken – nearly 900 girls and boys across 82 teams from 18 Montenegrin clubs gained valuable Volleyball experience, made friendships, and learned about fair play and competition.

The Mini Volleyball league is organised by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), with the goal of contributing to the development and popularisation of Volleyball across the Balkan country.

Young boys and girls have had the opportunity to nurture their passion for the game and to grow their skills

The director of the women’s national team programmes of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Ksenija Božović, awarded medals to representatives of Morača, Net, Libero, Iskra, Budućnost, and Tempo.

Senior national team libero Melisa Cenović presented medals to the members of Herceg Novi, Mediteran, Mrkojevići, Ulcinj, Ivangrad, and Barbana. Youth national team member Lana Rakočević awarded medals to the players of Top Volley, As, Akademija, Mornar, Gorštak, and Lovćen.

Medals were awarded to all the participants – there were no losers, only winners!
