With a formal certificate award ceremony held at the VOCO Hotel in Podgorica, the FIVB Coaches Course Level 3 organised in Montenegro’s capital city officially ended on Sunday.

The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) successfully delivered this eight-day seminar, which was completed by 18 coaches. The certificates were presented by Veselin Vuković, President of the OSCG Coaches Commission and one of Montenegro’s most renowned Volleyball coaches. Vuković took the opportunity to congratulate all the coaches who completed the seminar and wished them the best of luck in their future careers.

The Course Director, Gustavo Meczyk, addressed the attendees via video and thanked the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro for the excellent organisation of the seminar, especially considering that, due to the current situation in Israel, he was unable to attend in person. Despite this, the OSCG provided outstanding conditions to ensure the smooth running of the seminar.

The course was joined by coaches from a variety of countries across the globe

The closing ceremony and certificate presentation were also attended by Nikola Kažić, OSCG President, and Ivan Bošković, OSCG Secretary General.

The seminar brought together 20 coaches from around the world – including Cyprus, England, Greece, Hungary, India, Kosovo, Macau, Lebanon, North Macedonia, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Türkiye. Montenegro was represented by Ivan Joksimović, who also completed the seminar.

The lecturers for the seminar were Gustavo Meczyk and Cengiz Akarçesme. The project was carried out with the support of Olympic Solidarity, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro.

The event in Podgorica was one of only five such courses organised in 2025 worldwide

The OSCG had previously organised a FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 in 2016 and a FIVB Coaches Course Level 2 in 2018. It is the only National Federation in Europe granted with the organisation of the highest-level coaching seminar this year. In total, only five such seminars will be held worldwide in 2025, with the others taking place in Algeria, Ecuador, Jordan, and Nigeria.
