U17M: Great start for Serbia, Turkiye and Bulgaria

At the beginning of the tournament of BVA Zonal Qualifications for the U17M Volleyball European Championship 2023, Serbia, Turkiye and Bulgaria noted wins.

In pool B, Serbia won Greece after four set 3:1 (25:22, 26:24, 21:25, 25:19). With 21 points Vuk Kulpinac was the best in Serbian team, while Georgios Mantelidis was the best in Greek team with 18 points.

In the same pool, Turkiye beat England from North European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) 3:0 (25:21, 25:14, 25:7). Ata Unver and Kayra Yigit Tanrisever were the best in Turkish team with 10 points, Stuart Perry won five points on the other side.

Bulgaria defeated Finland (NEVZA) 3:0 (25:16, 25:18, 25:20) in pool A. Konstantin Manolev won 10 points in Bulgarian team, while Matias Siika-Aho won seven points in Finland team.

U17W: Bulgaria, Turkiye and Romania celebrated wins on first day

First day group phase of BVA Zonal Qualifications for the U17W Volleyball European Championship 2023 is finished. Bulgaria, Turkiye and Romania achieved their first victories.

Match between Bulgaria and Moldova opened competition for women. For 60 minutes Bulgaria beat Moldova 3:0 (2511, 25:13, 25:14) in pool B. Denitsa Angelova was the best in Bulgarian team with 11 points, while six points won Sofia Cacean in Moldova team.

In pool A, the host team Turkiye defeated Montenegro 3:0 (25:6, 25:10, 25:16) for the first win. Elsem Yilmaz led Turkish team to victory with 20 points, on the other side Darja Popovic won seven points.

In second match in pool B and last match of the day, Romania defeated Kosovo 3:0 (25:17, 25:16, 25:22). Gabriela Bianca Cucu won 10 points in the winning team, Blerina Begaj and Megi Bsilmi were the best in Kosovo team.
