Great matches were played today on the U16W Balkan Championship. Serbia won against Montenegro in a very exciting and tough game, 3:2 (20:25, 26:24. 25:18, 26:28, 17:15). Meanwhile, Bulgaria was better than Romania in four sets 3:1 (25:19, 23:25, 25:7, 25:22).
Over two hours of play, Montenegro and Serbia fought for the victory. In the end, Serbia celebrated a 3:2 win. The most points were scored for Serbia Teodora Zec – 19, and Magdalena Mandic 18, and for Montenegro, it was Klara Đukić with 18 points.
Romania managed to take a set from Bulgaria, but nothing more than that. The Bulgarians did not allow any surprises. In the Bulgarian team the best was Gabriela Pekova with 15 points, while on the other side, 17 won Ioana Adela Vasilescu.
On Friday, Montenegro will play against Turkey at 15h, and Serbia will play against Bulgaria at 17.30h.
