The Macedonian men’s volleyball team is the best national team in the “Athlete of the Year 2025” election, the traditional sports event, which was held for the 71st time and organized by the Ministry of Sports and the Union of Sports Federations of Macedonia.
The volleyball players were nominated along with the handball team, the basketball team and the U-17 football team, and the decisive factor was the fact that in 2025 they secured participation in the fourth consecutive continental competition – the 2026 CEV European Championship.

The women’s senior volleyball team, as well as the Volleyball Federation of Macedonia were nominated in the categories of most successful women’s national team, or most successful national sports federation.

Numerous athletes, sports legends and representatives of national sports federations were part of this major sports event, attended by the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, Minister of Sports Borko Ristovski, line ministers and representatives of local self-government.
