Teams from Turkiye and Romania won U20 BVA Beach Championship

Ahmet Can and Tuna Imdat from Turkiye in the men’s competition and Ioana Miu and Ioana Hododi from Romania in the women’s competition won the U20 Balkan Beach Championship held in Lasi, Romania.

In the men’s final, the Turkish team defeated Iannis Alb and Radu Muresan from Romania in two sets: 21:19, and 23:21.

Ahmet Can and Tuna Imdat defeated Adrian Bilțiu and Adrian Onofrei (Romania 2) with 2:0 in the semifinals, while in the other semifinal, Iannis Alb and Radu Mureșan overcame Darius Ciatau and Ruben Bot with 2:1.

The bronze medals went to Adrian Biltiu and Adrian Onofrei from the Romania 2 team, who defeated Darius Ciatau and Ruben Bot from the Romania 3 team with 2:0.

In the women’s final, Ioana Miu and Ioana Hododi won U20 Balkan Beach Championship. They finished in first place in the group stage without losing a set.

 In the semifinals, Miu and Hododi defeated a team from Moldova, Valeria Gherman and Lidia Vlad, with 2:0 (21:8, 21:8). In the final, Miu and Hododi won, after a great battle, with 2:1, against the Turkish team Sayar Ceylin and Limdim Su 2:1 (22:20, 17:21, 15:13).

 The bronze medals went to the pair from Moldova, Gherman/Vlad, who defeated the Romanians Maya Rosenfeld Bugle and Hana Poleac with 2:1 (21:15, 17:21, 15:13).

Romania Hosts U20 Balkan Championship for Men and Women

The U20 Balkan beach championship for Men and Women will be played from the 1st to the 4th of August, in Lasi, Romania.

Teams from Romania, Kosovo, Moldova, and Turkiye will participate in the tournament.

Turkiye is champion of U16 Balkan Championship

The Turkish women’s volleyball team won the U16 Balkan Championship by winning all four matches. Second place was claimed by Bulgaria with one loss and three wins, while Serbia took third place with two victories.

On the last day of the competition, Serbia defeated Romania 3:1 (25:18, 25:11, 22:25, 25:21). The final match was a true finale between Bulgaria and Turkiye. The Turkish team celebrated victory to win the gold medal 3:2 (25:20, 16:25, 17:25, 25:23, 15:12).

The MVP of the U16 Women Balkan Championship was Lara Atasoy from Turkiye.

The best setter of the U16 Women Balkan Championship was Nadja Pekovic from Montenegro

The best middle blockers of the U16 Women Balkan Championship were Antonia Stanislavova from Bulgaria and Lara Atasoy from Turkiye.

The best outside spikers of the U16 Women Balkan Championship were Ercin Turkyasar from Turkiye and Gabrela Pekova from Bulgaria.

The best opposite of the U16 Women Balkan Championship was Magdalena Mandic from Serbia.

The best libero of the U16 Women Balkan Championship was Vanja Djordjevic from Serbia.

U16W: Turkiye and Bulgaria achieved third triumph

The fourth day of the Balkan Championship for under-16 women has concluded. Turkiye defeated Montenegro and Bulgaria defeated Serbia. Romania had a day off.

Turkiye recorded their third consecutive maximum victory and retained first place on the table. They defeated Montenegro 3:0 (25:18, 26:24, 25:22).

Bulgaria and Serbia played five sets, and in the end, Bulgaria achieved victory with a score of 3:2 (25:12, 16:25, 21:25, 28:26, 15:9), also scoring their third triumph.

On the final day of the competition, Romania will play against Serbia at 15:30h, and Bulgaria will play against Turkiye at 18:00h.
