5th place: Bosnia and Herzegovina – North Macedonia (15:00h)

Bronze medal: Türkiye – Romania (17:30h)

Final: Bulgaria – Serbia (20:00h)

U18M: Gold medal for Türkiye

Türkiye is the winner of U18 Men Balkan Championship 2022, which was held from 28th June until 02nd July in Novi Sad (Serbia), in front of runner up Bulgaria and Serbia, who won bronze medal.

In final match of competition, Türkiye defeated Bulgaria 3:0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:19) and won title. BVA Star Dogan Karakoc lead Türkiye to gold medal, while Georgy Bachavarov was the best scorer in Bulgarian team with 11 points.

In match for bronze medal, Serbia defeated Moldova 3:0 (25:15, 25:14, 25:12) and won third place and bronze medal. Aleksa Starovic and Nikola Stanojevic were the best in Serbian team with 14 points. Nine points had Alexei Usatov in Moldova team.

Moldova – Serbia

Romania defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 3:0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:19) and won 5th place on tournament. Dav Taranu Runcan was the best in Romanian team with 16 points, while in Bosnian team Nikola Djuric won 10 points.

MVP of U18M Balkan Championship is BVA star Dogan Karakoc from Türkiye and his award was presented by Slobodan Boskan, olympic gold medal winner from Sydney 2000. and head coach of Vojvodina NS Seme.

Luka Stankovic from Serbia is the best opposite of U18M Balkan Championship 2022.

Jildiz Selim from Türkiye is the best middle blocker of U18 Men Balkan Championship.

Aslan Hamza from Türkiye is the best outside spiker of U18M Balkan Championship.

Simeon Nikolov from Bulgaria is the best setter of U18M Balkan Championship.

Konstantin Cipev from Bulgaria is the best libero of U18 Men Balkan Championship.

Moldova is awarded as a fair play team.

U18M: Türkiye and Bulgaria to play for gold

On last day of U18 Balkan Championship 2022 Türkiye and Bulgaria will play in final, while Moldova and Serbia will fight for 3rd place.

Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated North Macedonia 3:0 (25:18, 25:18, 25:17) on Friday with Jakov Matic as the best scorer in Bosnian team with 18 points. On the other side, Filip Stankov scored 13 points.

Semifinals program started with win of Türkiye against Moldova 3:0 (25:16, 25:14, 25:13). BVA Star Dogan Karakoc with 9 points and Berat Massa Taha, Selim Yildiz, Kerem Suel with 8 points lead Türkiye to final. Eldar Chilinghir was the best in Moldova team with 9 points.

On second semifinal match Bulgaria defeated hosts Serbia 3:1 (20:25, 25:21, 25:20, 25:21). Luka Stankovic won  incredible 31 points, but enough for triumph Serbian team. Aleksandar Kandev was the best scorer in Bulgarian team with 19 points.

Before final and bronze medal matches, Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Romania for 5th place.

U18 Men: Türkiye, Bulgaria, Serbia and Moldova to fight for medals

Türkiye, Serbia, Moldova and Bulgaria will play semifinals of U18 Men Balkan Championship 2022.

On 3rd day of tournament in Novi Sad, Türkiye defeated Serbia 3:0 (28:26, 25:22, 25:20) in last match of Pool A and with three victories advanced to the semifinals from first place in pool. Selim Yildiz from Turkey was best scorer on match with 17 points, while in Serbian team Luka Stankovic made 13 points.

In semifinals, Türkiye will play against Moldova, while Serbia will confront Bulgaria in other semifinal.

In first match of the day, Romania defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 3:0 (25:22, 25:17, 25:21) in Pool A. Martinis Luca won 13 points in the winning team, 8 points had Jakov Matic, Cosic Milenko and Sava Radic on the other side. Romania finished 3rd in Pool A, while Bosnia and Herzegovina finished pool phase on last place.

In pool B, Bulgaria defeated North Macedonia 3:0 (25:11, 25:19, 25:14) for first place in group, while Moldova achieved to semifinals. Kristijan Titrijski was the best in Bulgarian team with 20 points, and in North Macedonia team Filip Stankovic was top scorer with 12 points.

Classification match: Bosnia and Herzegovina – North Macedonia (15:00h)

Semifinal 1: Türkiye – Moldova (17:30h)

Semifinal 2: Serbia – Bulgaria (20:00h)
