The U16 Balkan Championship for women has started, with Turkiye and Bulgaria securing victories at the beginning. The Serbian team had a day off.
The tournament opened with a match between Turkiye and Romania, in which the Turkish team won 3:0 (25:14, 25:15, 25:20). Host Bulgaria was better than Montenegro, also with a 3:0 (25:11, 25:16, 25:19) result. For Bulgaria, Darina Ivanova and Stela Zheleva each scored 10 points, while for Montenegro, Klara Đukić scored 10 points also.
On Wednesday, Serbia will play against Turkiye at 16h, and Romania will play against Montenegro at 18:30h.
