The U19 Men’s Balkan Championship was held from July 9th to 13th in Banja Luka, organized by the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Turkish national team claimed first place, finishing the tournament undefeated. Serbia secured second place, while Bulgaria took third and the bronze medal after defeating Romania 3:0.
The Champions’ trophy was awarded by Milutin Popović, president of the Balkan Volleyball Association.
The second-place trophy was presented by Aleksandar Dakić, president of the organizing committee.
The third-place trophy was awarded by Sonja Moro, BVA technical delegate.
On the final day of the competition, Montenegro beat North Macedonia 3:1 to take fifth place, while Greece triumphed over Bosnia and Herzegovina to finish in seventh place.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the championship was Ata Unver from Türkiye. The award for Best Setter went to Ivan Uzanov from Bulgaria. Serbia’s Stefan Soko was named Best Opposite, while his teammate Stefan Popić received the Best Outside Spiker award. The title of Best Middle Blocker went to Han Abdulvahap from Türkiye, and the Best Libero award was given to Cinar Receo Yagli, also from Türkiye.
The Fair Play Team Award was presented to the host nation, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
