After the fourth day of competition at the U16 Balkan Championship for girls, Bulgaria leads the standings with three wins. They are followed by Montenegro with two wins and one loss, then Greece with a score 2-2, Turkyie with one victory, and North Macedonia without a win.
On the fourth day, Greece celebrated a comeback victory over Turkiye, recording their second win of the tournament and staying in the race for a medal. Bulgaria defeated Montenegro 3:0 and holds the top spot on the table, which guarantees the gold medal.
On the final day of competition, Bulgaria will play their last match against North Macedonia, while Montenegro and Turkiye will face off in the other match in a battle for a medal.
Greece won with a score of 3:2 (18:25, 16:25, 25:22, 25:19, 15:7). The top scorer for the winning team was Alexandra Lamprou with 15 points, while on the other side, Cagla Caglayandere also scored 15.
Bulgaria remains the only undefeated team after a 3:0 victory over Montenegro (25:20, 26:24, 25:23). For Bulgaria, Andriana Goleva and Antonia Stanislavova each scored 12 points, while for the hosts, Klara Đukić and Elena Jovanović each had nine points.
