The Greek side once again demonstrated consistency, powerful serving, and solid defense, controlling the rhythm of the game and minimizing errors. With this result, AEK remains undefeated and stands just one win away from completing a perfect record in the tournament.
For Herceg Novi, the loss marked their first defeat after a strong start on Day 1. The Montenegrin team will aim to bounce back in their final match on Wednesday, when they face OK Fit Fun Volley from North Macedonia.
Meanwhile, host team KV Drita celebrated their first victory at the 2025 BVA Cup with an emphatic 3:0 (25:10, 25:14, 25.12) win over OK Fit Fun Volley at the “Ilaz Kodra” Sports Hall. The Drita girls delivered a disciplined and energetic performance, showing full control throughout the match while excelling in serving, defense, and attack.
With this win, Drita moves a step closer to securing the bronze medal at the Balkan Championship, a well-deserved achievement for the hosts, who continue to improve with each match.
In the final round of the competition, KV Drita will face the undefeated tournament favorite AEK Athens in what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the 2025 BVA Cup.

In the opening match of the BVA women’s Cup, Greek AEK Athens delivered a dominant performance, sweeping North Macedonia’s OK Fit Fun Volley 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-15). AEK started strong, applying early pressure through aggressive serving and quick transitions. Their efficient blocking and powerful attacks gave them a comfortable first set win, 25-14.
The second set saw AEK raise their level even further. With excellent team coordination, strong defense, and fast-paced offense, they overwhelmed the Macedonian team, winning the set 25-9.
In the third set, OK Fit Fun Volley tried to respond with a more balanced approach, but AEK’s experience and tactical discipline prevailed. With consistent serving and precise attacks, the Greek team closed out the match confidently with a 25-15 victory.
In the second match of Day 1, Montenegro’s OK Herceg Novi defeated host team KV Drita (Kosovo) 3-0 (25-22, 25-7, 26-24). Drita started well in front of their home crowd, pushing Herceg Novi in the first set, but the Montenegrin side remained composed in key moments and took the set 25-22.
The second set was one-sided, as Herceg Novi controlled the pace with strong blocking and discipline, cruising to a dominant 25-7 win.
The third set was much closer, with Drita fighting hard to stay in the match. However, Herceg Novi’s composure under pressure helped them edge the set 26-24, sealing a 3-0 win and their first victory in the tournament.
Tomorrow, KV Drita will face OK Fit Fun Volley as both teams search for their first win in the 2025 BVA Cup, while Herceg Novi will play against AEK Athens.

Due to a postponement, the BVA Cup in the women’s competition will now be played from October 6th to 8th in Gjilan, Kosovo.
This year’s host will be KV Drita from Kosovo, while the participating teams include AEK Athens from Greece, Fit Fun Volley from North Macedonia, and Herceg Novi from Montenegro.
On the opening day of the competition, AEK Athens will face Fit Fun Volley at 16.30h, followed by the match between KV Drita and Herceg Novi at 19h. The second day will feature Herceg Novi against AEK Athens, while Fit Fun Volley will meet the host team, KV Drita. The closing matches will see Herceg Novi take on Fit Fun Volley, and later, AEK Athens will compete against KV Drita.
The winner of the BVA Cup will secure a place in the CEV Challenge Cup.
