BVA General Assembly on Friday in Sofia

XXV General Assembly of Balkan Volleyball Association will be held on Friday, 2^nd February in “Milenium Sofia Grand” Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Host will be BVA and Bulgarian Volleyball Federation President Lubomir Ganev with the presence of the CEV President Aleksandar Boricic and CEV Vice President Renato Arena.

Agenda of this year Assembly will be Activity reports and brief information about BVA indoor and beach volleyball activities since 2023 when latest BVA General Assembly was held, as well as defining competitions in 2024 and possible organizers.

U20W: Türkiye qualified for European Championship

National team of Türkiye will play in the U20 European Championship 2024.

In the final match of the 1st Zonal Round of qualification organized by BVA, Türkiye defeated Serbia after five sets 3:2 (25:15, 23:25, 20:25, 25:21, 15:10). In the winning team, Beren Yesilirmak was the best scorer with 17 points. The excellent match had Simona Mateska with 20 points and Ana Mihajlovic with 19 points in the Serbian team.

Before the final match, was playing matches for 3rd and 5th place. Greece beat Romania 3:0 (25:19, 25:10, 29:27) in the match for 3rd place. Elpida Tikmandiou was the best player with 19 points in the Greek team, while Andreea Raluca Puica with 11 points was the best in the Romanian team.

The victory was achieved also Montenegro against Kosovo 3:1 (25:17, 22:25, 25:11, 26:24). The most points won Kristina Bozovic in team Montenegro – 25. Erta Neziri won14 for Kosovo.

Türkiye and Serbia will fight for #EuroVolleyU20W

Türkiye and Serbia will play in the final of 1st Zonal Round qualifications of the European Championship 2024.

Serbia and Türkiye celebrated with maximum results in the semifinal match against Romania and Greece.

Serbia beat Romania 3:0 (25:17, 25:15, 25:15) in the first semifinal. Milica Vidacic with 13 points was the best in the Serbian team, while Carla Parv and Sofia Maria Cimbru won six points each for Romania.

In the second match, Türkiye defeated Greece 3:0 (25:13, 25:13, 25:14). For the Turkish team, Eylul Durgun was the best scorer with 10 points. Vasiliki-Krystalia Dagre won 8 por Greece.
