Montenegrin Federation signs historic, comprehensive cooperation agreement with Faculty of Sports and Physical Education to aid the sport development

by Press 16/01/2025
written by Press

The President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG), Nikola Kažić, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, Assoc. Dr. Jovan Gardašević, signed a historic cooperation agreement in Nikšić. The goal of the agreement is to advance Volleyball as a sport, provide education for professional staff, and implement joint projects.

The signing of the agreement was also attended by the Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Ivan Bošković, and Mr Marko Joksimović, representing the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education.

The Faculty of Sports and Physical Education will make a full contribution to the growth of the game through the organisation of lectures, seminars, workshops, and other forms of professional development. Additionally, the faculty will conduct assessments of the anthropological status of Volleyball players across all national teams, with a particular focus on working with younger categories.

“I am pleased that today in Nikšić we signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, as I believe this document will benefit our institutions and improve our mutual collaboration, all with the goal of developing Volleyball players in Montenegro. I owe my gratitude to Dean Jovan Gardašević and his team for everything they have done in the past to enhance our cooperation, which has ultimately resulted in the signing of this official agreement between our two institutions.

We will undoubtedly take full advantage of the support provided by the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, particularly in terms of training professional staff, organising seminars, and utilising diagnostics that will help us identify and overcome challenges faced by our young players. This will enable us to better prepare them for greater challenges and, in turn, establish a stronger foundation for the development of Volleyball in Montenegro.

Our national teams in the younger categories will have very frequent tests and all candidates will be here to see what we need to do in the future to help them develop their performances as quickly and as much as possible, which will ultimately influence the collective performance of our national teams as well as the individual careers of each of the young people who are involved in Volleyball today,” said OSCG President Kažić.

OSCG President Nikola Kažić and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, Assoc. Dr. Jovan Gardašević, shaking hands after the signing ceremony

The Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, Assoc. Dr. Jovan Gardašević expressed his satisfaction with this collaboration and stated that the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro is on an upward trajectory.

“We are very pleased that the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro has recognised us as an institution that can assist in the future education of coaching staff and in the diagnostics of athletes. We are very satisfied with this and expect to establish an even closer cooperation with all federations in Montenegro in the coming period. Mr Kažić and his team have taken a very promising path, and I am confident that in the future, the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro will continue to progress through the results of their teams. I believe that we, as a partner institution, will contribute to this success,” said Dean Gardašević.
