The Turkish Women’s U21 volleyball team triumphed at the Balkan Championship held in Tirana, finishing the tournament undefeated and without dropping a single set. With a commanding performance throughout the event, Turkiye deservedly lifted the winner’s trophy and confirmed their status as tournament favorites.
On the final day of competition, Turkiye reaffirmed its dominance with a 3:0 victory over Kosovo, completing the championship with a perfect record.
Bulgaria secured second place and took home the silver medal, also defeating Albania convincingly with a 3:0 scoreline. The Bulgarian team’s only loss came in the opening match against Turkiye
Host nation Albania claimed the bronze medal thanks to a win over Kosovo, while losses to Turkiye and Bulgaria placed them third overall.
The U21 Women’s Balkan Championship Trophy, won by team Turkiye, was presented by Erlind Pëllumbi, President of the Albanian Volleyball Federation. The medals were presented by Dashamir Brari, Vice President, Sara Alturk, Supervisor, BVA and Ornela Belba, Board Member.
