Serbia winner of U19W Balkan Championship

Serbia won 1st place and became champion of U19W Balkan Championship in Mioveni, 2nd place went to Türkiye, while 3rd place went to Romania.

In final match Serbia defeated Türkiye 3:0 (25:22, 25:13, 25:19) to win gold on this competition. Aleksandra Uzelac was the best in Serbian team with 20 points. Beren Yesilirmak  and Ege Melisa Bukmen won 8 points for Türkiye.

Romania beat Greece 3:1 (19:25, 25:23, 25:20, 29:27) in bronze medal match and finished competition on 3rd place. In Romanian team Andra Badi Savu was the best scorer with 20 points, while 12 points won Tani Evangelia and Korre Aikaterini in Greek team.

In match for 5th place Bulgaria defeated Kosovo 3:0 (25:8, 25:14, 25:10).  In the winning team Viktoria Dimitrova won 16 points, Megi Bilsimi won 7 points for Kosovo.

Individual awards of U19W Balkan Championship:

MVP of U19W Balkan Championship – Aleksandra Uzelac from Serbia.

Best setter of U19W Balkan Championship – Iarina Axinte from Romania.

Best outside spiker of U19W Balkan Championship – Ege Melisa Bukmen from Türkiye.

Best opposite of U19W Balkan Championship – Jovana Zelenovic from Serbia.

Best middle blocker of U19W Balkan Championship – Hena Kurtagic from Serbia.

Best libero of U19W Balkan Championship – Jasemin Nariloglu from Türkiye.

U19W: Türkiye and Serbia to play for gold

Türkiye and Serbia will play in final of U19 Women Balkan Championship, while Greece and Romania will fight for bronze medal.

Kosovo defeated North Macedonia 3:0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:15) in first match on Saturday. Megi Bislimi and Yilka Jasari were the best in Kosovo team with 12 points, in Macedonian team 11 points won Meri Boshkovska.

In first semifinal Türkiye beat Greece 3:1 (23:25, 25:8, 25:7, 25:19) Beren Yesilirmak took care of that with 18 points. Geo Angelopolou won 8 points in Greek team.

In second semifinal Serbia defeated Romania 3:0 (25:9, 25:19, 25:19) in 66 minutes. Aleksandra Uzelac was the best scorer in Serbian team with 16 points. Stefania Cheluta won 7 points for Romania.

Before final and bronze medal matches, Kosovo will play against Bulgaria for 5th place.

Sunday, 14th August

Place 5th – 6th: Kosovo – Bulgaria (09:00h)
Bronze medal match: Greece – Romania (12:30h)
Final match: Türkiye – Serbia (15:00h)

U19W: Türkiye, Romania, Serbia and Greece in semifinals

Bulgaria and Türkiye arhieved victories in pool A, while Serbia celebrated against Greece to in first place in pool B after Preliminary Round.

Türkiye, Romania, Serbia and Greece reached spot in semifinals.

Bulgaria was better than Kosovo 3:0 (25:8, 25:14, 25:10) for their first victory on competition. Viktoria Dimitrova was the best in Bulgarian team with 16 points, while in Kosovo team Megi Bislimi won 7 points.

For 1st place in pool A, Türkiye defeated Romania 3:0 (25:10, 25:20, 25:17). Berka Buse Ozden was the best in the winning team with 10 points, Tara Cristea and Andra Badiu Savu won 8 points in Romanian team.

On last match of the day Serbia defeated Greece 3:0 (25:17, 27:25, 25:22) for 1st place in pool B. Hena Kurtagic was best scorer in Serbia team with 12 points, while Errika Gravari won 10 points on the other side.

Semifinals and classification match will be played on Saturday with next schedule:

Saturday, 13th August

Semi-final 1: Türkiye – Greece (15:00h)
Semi-final 2: Romania – Serbia (17:30h)
Classification: Kosovo – North Macedonia (20:00h)

U19W: Wins for Türkiye, Romania and Serbia

After 2nd day of U19 Balkan Championship, Türkiye, Romania and Serbia achieved victories.

In pool A, Türkiye defeated Kosovo 3:0 (25:16, 25:6, 25:16) in 60 minutes. Berka Buse Ozden and Fatka Iklimya Demir with 12 points led Türkiye to the second victory. Megi Bislimi won 8 points in Kosovo team.

Romania beat Bulgaria 3:0 (25:13, 25:23, 25:19) in second game of pool A. Stefani Cheluta with 17 points was the best in Romanian team, while Aleksandra Peycheva with 11 points was the best in Bulgarian team.

In last game Serbia defeated North Macedonia 3:0 (25:10, 25:9, 25:19) in pool B. Aleksandra Uzelac won 9 points in Serbian team, Mila Doldurova won 7 points in Macedonian team.

 Match schedule for Friday, 12th August

Kosovo – Bulgaria (15:00h)

Türkiye – Romania (17:30h)

Greece – Serbia (20:00h)
